As you have probably noticed, progress continues on Schoo Middle School and the YMCA. Schoo will welcome its first students in the fall of 2009, and the YMCA plans to open that time as well. The Lincoln Journal Star reported (7/24/08) that Alvo Road will be open from Stonebrook Parkway to North 16th Street in late 2009, providing access between Schoo and Kooser Elementary. Concordia University is in the process of moving into the second floor of the Town Center. They are holding an open house on August 12 with the first classes taking place the evenings of August 13 and 14. The World of Life Church, which will be subleasing space from Concordia, plans to move in during the month of August with the first services to be held in September. Progress also continues on the YMCA’s space on the second floor. The YMCA hopes to move their administrative Metro offices, Camp Kitaki, and Youth Sports to the second floor on September 8. By Labor Day weekend, the second floor of the Town Center should be fully leased and open for business! Another addition to the Town Center is Max Muscle, which is now open inside Longoria’s Black Belt Academy. |

More than 100 Fallbrook residents donned leis and their best beach gear for the August 3rd Fallbrook Home Owner's Association pool party. Graciously hosted by Jared and Alecia Kimbrough, the Hawaiian luau-themed party consisted of an impressive spread of food, water balloons, and plenty of great conversation. And with the temperatures hovering above 100 degrees, the highlight of the party for many was a dip in the Kimbrough's pool. The Fallbrook Social Committee thanks everyone for attending, with a special "THANK YOU" to the Kimbrough's for hosting the event at their home. View pictures from the event in the Gallery! (Look under "Fallbrook Events.") |
